About us

SNOW GLOBE EDITIONS is the digital publishing house of the Onlus Terra dei Colori and has as its objective the production of Applications, E-books, and interactive multimedia games of an educational and social value. Departing from the reading of texts by Dahlberg, Moss and Pence we conceived the idea that in order for a child or young person (with or without a disability) to develop an elastic mind and become creative, he/she needs information, knowledge, languages that enable them to gain experience in complete freedom. It thus activates an attitude of respect for the individual, recognition of plurality as a resource, listening, openness to experimentation and teamwork.

The instructions Malaguzzi gives to the educator is to stand alongside the children and surprise herself; interventions should be noticed, delicate, silent and seldom sensational; it’s sufficient that the children feel the presence of an adult and feel that he/she is with them. This will make them confident and aware of what is going on and what they are learning. Other references that guide our work are related to the recreational aspect of education. We believe that there should be no opposition between recreational and non-recreational activity, between play and culture, between play and engagement activities. The alternative, in a few words, is between motivating and participatory experiences and alienating experiences. If we want a society without alienation, in which every activity will have a “ludiform” (playful) character (that implies motivation and gratification), we need to cultivate these habits from the beginning of the existence of the person.

Interesting story and art style ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This isa great app with an interesting story. A lot of interactivity through out the pages which will make the kids busy and engaged for a while. I have slight issue with the navigation but it might be just me. THe graphics are nice and music and sound effects are great.

My toddler loved it ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

It was a great story, and ad the title says, my toddler was quite a fan. Reading throigh the other reviews, I do agree that the controls were less than intuitive, but my toddler picked them up much quicker than I could have. [...] The best parts were the hidden animations that had my kid clicking around every page. The narrator's voice was also quite pleasant.

Fun sory, great deal! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Beautiful illustrations, interactive design and engaging narration. Got this for my cousins (girls afes 9 & 12) who really enjoy it, and love discovering new feature each time they open it.

The artwork is duly impressive and the interactivity within the story is far-reaching; one of my favorite features was that the screen panned out or over when I tilted the iPad.
